What is TENCEL™?
TENCEL™ is a specialty fiber brand which consists of lyocell and modal fibers. TENCEL™ Lyocell fibers are produced via sustainable closed-loop manufacturing process, which transformed wood pulp to cellulosic fibers. The wood-pulp is derived from responsibly harvested and controlled wood sources. Born from nature with an ultra-soft texture, TENCEL™ focuses on a better and natural approach to comfort.

The Benefits
Smooth & Gentle on Skin
TENCEL™ Lyocell fibers are naturally soft to the touch and offer long-lasting comfort. When viewed under an electron microscope, TENCEL™ Lyocell fibers exhibit a smooth surface area, giving bedding a soft feel and ensuring comfort for sensitive skin.
Moisture Management & Breathability
TENCEL™ Lyocell fibers support body temperature regulating properties through moisture management. Derived from natural material, the cellulosic fibers of TENCEL™ are structured to regulate the absorption and release of moisture, contributing to fabric breathability that supports the body’s natural thermal regulation for a cooler and more comfortable night of sleep.
Unfavorable for Bacterial Growth
Through moisture management, TENCEL™ Lyocell fibers provide a less favorable environment for bacterial growth. A significantly lower growth rate was observed on TENCEL™ Lyocell compared to cotton and polyester under moderate humidity conditions.
Sustainable & Eco-Friendly
Rest easy knowing that TENCEL™ Lyocell fibers are created using an environmentally responsible, closed loop production that recycles process water and reuses the solvent at a recovery rate of more than 99%, minimizing the environmental impact of production. The fibers also originate from renewable wood sources and are certified 100% biodegradable, thus can fully revert back to nature.
